Refund Policy

Short version: 14-day no-questions-asked refund on your first paid month or year. After that, refunds are pro-rated for unused time when there’s a service issue we couldn’t resolve.

1. Standard 14-Day Refund

Every new paid subscription comes with a 14-day refund window. If you cancel within 14 days of your first charge — for any reason — we’ll refund the full amount.

  • Applies to your first billing cycle only (the month or year you first paid).
  • Applies whether you bought monthly or annual.
  • No reason required. Reply to the receipt email or write [email protected] with the phrase “14-day refund”.

2. After 14 Days

We don’t typically refund past the 14-day window, but we will in two cases:

  • Service incident: extended outage we couldn’t recover within the SLA window (annual plans, 99.5% uptime). We’ll either credit your account or refund the affected period — your choice.
  • Billing error: we charged the wrong amount, or charged you after cancellation. Always refundable.

3. Annual Plans, Mid-Term Cancellation

Annual plans are non-refundable after the 14-day window. You can downgrade to a monthly plan, but we don’t pro-rate the unused portion of a paid-in-full year. (If you have an exceptional circumstance — restructuring, deprecation, etc. — email us anyway. We try to be reasonable.)

4. How to Request

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the invoice number from the receipt (or your account email). We respond within 2 business days.

Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear on your card or PayPal within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.

5. Chargebacks

Please email us first. We always honor a legitimate refund request — there’s no need to dispute through your bank. Chargebacks cost both sides time and money. If you do open a dispute, please also email us so we can resolve it directly.

6. What We Don’t Refund

  • Add-on credits or one-time purchases (we don’t currently sell these, but reserving the policy).
  • Months of usage where you actively ran scans — the work was performed.
  • Fees paid more than 6 months ago.

7. Affiliate Earnings & Refunds

If you joined via an affiliate link and we refund your subscription, any commission earned on your subscription is also reversed.
